Read our blog postAlpe d'Huez has an enviable reputation as a top quality resort that enjoys excellent snow and weather conditions in the dramatic scenery of the Oisans valley.  It has extensive facilities on and off the slopes and there are many loyal holidaymakers who return year after year.

Other Facilities

Alpe D’Huez has endless activities for non-skiers, including ice driving school, snowshoe excursions, dog sledding and scenic walks. There is a large outdoor pool and an indoor pool, an ice rink and a fully equipped sports centre with tennis and squash courts, aerobics, table tennis and many other activities.  Alpe d'Huez has 62 restaurants and numerous bars and nightclubs, which means that après ski has a reputation to compete with the skiing.

Facilities for Children

A range of child care options are available including ESF run “Les Eterlous Village” nurseries will take children from 2 ½ to 5 years and alternate skiing with games and nursery sessions.  There is also Les “Intrépides” Kindergarten providing all day childcare for children from 3 months to 4 years.

What our clients are saying

"Thanks for suggesting Alpe D'Huez as our first ski holiday, we had a fantastic time! Lots of good green runs and plenty of Après Ski."

 | Date of review: 04-Mar-2011
"Ski passes are expensive as they cover additional features and les deux alpes for one day. fortunately for us we ski the whole mountain but it would be a very poor deal for those who are restricted to the town runs because of their ability."

Our comments
Alpe d'Huez offer a '1st slide' pass covering 27 lifts, at a reduced daily rate of 21€ (2010/11 price). There are also 3 ski lifts and one tow that are free of charge for beginners.
