Chamonix Mont Blanc is an authentic and lively town located one hour’s drive from Geneva (Switzerland). This resort has over 100 shops, 12 bars/nightclubs and 115 restaurants. The town is a great destination if you have non-skiers in your party with a fabulous variety of activities. Most skiers choose one area to explore each day and those with children in ski school will need to plan their skiing and meeting places accordingly.
Après-ski... Chamonix is a vibrant town in the heart of the mountains offering sunny terraces, attractive boutiques, typical, international or gastronomic restaurants, lively bars, cinema and concerts, museums and permanent exhibitions, heritage visits, ice-hockey matches and much more.

Curling, a tremendous sports complex including 2 indoor heated pools, an ice rink, keep fit and spa facilities, tennis/squash courts and indoor climbing walls, bowling, snowshoeing, ice climbing, paragliding, museum, cog-railway, husky sledding and 17km of snow trails or 42 km of cross country skiing.
Many of the lifts and cog railways also give access to exceptional viewpoints and mountain restaurants. A free bus and rail service throughout the Chamonix valley makes it easy to visit the charming outlying villages and hamlets.
Facilities for Children
Ski schools for a day, ½ day or full day with lunch is another way to discover skiing : for children aged 3 to 12 years. There is also a list of babysitters available in the Tourist Office for babies and children.
