Widely known for its good value, extensive ski area, excellent off piste and tree skiing, the resort of Serre Chevalier has three main villages: Monêtier les Bains, Villeneuve and Chantemerle. Spread over 8 km, they are well linked by a regular bus service which enables skiers to choose where they would like to finish their day.

Other Facilities

A variety of bars, shops and restaurants are available, along with a swimming pool, fitness centre, hot spring centre “Les Grands Bains”, cinema, games hall, ice driving school and ice rink.  The medieval fortress town of Briançon with its narrow, cobbled streets and good selection of restaurants is worth a visit.

Facilities for Children

There are 3 Kindergartens taking children from 6 months old.  For children not wanting to ski or wanting half day care after their lessons there are 2 children’s clubs taking children from 4/5 – 12 years old.

"Lovely resort ,great people (quite the nicest French people imaginable!) old Briancon a nice "bonus" etc
Nightmare drive there tho' - Col de Lauterets was closed ,added a good 2.5 hours plus onto the journey. God knows what it would have been like in peak season!"
