Le Grand Bornand is made up of two separate traditional Savoyard villages - Le Grand Bornand Village at 1000 metres and the slightly higher village of Le Chinaillon at 1300 metres. The main ski area sits above Le Chinaillon, but the pistes reach from 1000m to 2100m and offer particularly good skiing for beginners and intermediates. It is perfect for a family getaway.

There are many sport activities available in Le Grand Bornand, including an ice waterfall, horse riding, heliskiing, snowmobiling, paragliding, ski joering, sledge runs, ice rink and ballooning. The resort has also a relaxed après ski life with cinemas, restaurants, a night club and numerous bars, shops and supermarkets.
