A firm favourite with locals, Arc 1600 is the first and most compact of the Les Arcs villages. It offers a superb panorama down the valley, stunning views of Mont Blanc and a beautiful setting amidst the trees. This all makes Arc 1600 an ideal option for those wanting to benefit from an extensive ski area whilst staying in a more tranquil environment.

Off the slopes there are a number of shops and cafes as well as a cinema. While in the evening a varied selection of bars, restaurants and a nightclub will keep you going in to the early hours.

What's new in Les Arcs for 2010/11
New Toboggan run in Arc 2000
The Rodeo Park toboggan run had been built from the top of the Col de la Chal (top of the Arcabulle chair from Arc 2000/Transarc from Arc 1800) that runs for 3 km with a 400m vertical descent. Sledges are provided at the top for this exhilarating run with over 300 twists and turns.
Lift system improvements
- Arc 2000 has two new ‘magic carpets’ which give beginners and children a great area to practice on. Even better, they are completely free.
- A new rope tow above Arc 2000 means that there is no longer a need to push your way across to reach the resort and you can glide in style.
- A new lift has been added to the Peisey lift system which opens up the far skiers left side of the mountain giving easy access back into the village of Peisey and the Peisey chair.
- The Clair Blanc chair has been removed and a new lift installed to service the excellent Apocalypse snowpark. This eases congestion above the Arpette restaurant making for safer skiing.
Famous Arpette restaurant gets a facelift
The famous Arpette restaurant has had a complete facelift and still offers a great night out on Wednesdays with a traditional Savoyard meal and torchlit descent back into Arc 1800.
