This typically French town lies in the Isere valley below Les Arcs.  Staying in the capital of the Haute Tarentaise gives holidaymakers the chance to immerse themselves in a traditional Savoyard atmosphere whilst still being able to enjoy the nearby extensive skiing options.  Bourg St Maurice is also the terminus of the Eurostar service making it an easily accessible destination.

"The les Arcs area is amazing, loads of blue red and black runs catered for everyone. The slopes are very carefully managed and although they had had very little snow this year there was only a couple of runs which were closed. The attention to safety is very reassuring, lots and lots of ski patrols who seem to arrive within minutes of any incidents. We drove this year to the resort it took about 9 hrs the tolls were 79 euros each way. The roads were excellent and they have a lot more service stations than our motorways. We took all our food which made the holiday very reasonable."
