Maurienne Valley

With many lesser-known resorts, the Maurienne Valley offers great skiing at competitive prices. Situated between the infamous resorts of Three Valleys, the Tarentaise and Alpe d'Huez, the ski resorts of the Maurienne are often over-looked. However, due to the improved motorway link, these resorts are now easily accessible and ideal for people looking for somewhere a little quieter to ski. Beginners and intermediates are well catered for with plenty of well-groomed runs and more advanced skiers can take advantage of the challenging tree-lined runs and extensive off-piste. The Maurienne Valley is also the back-door into the Three Valleys due to the Orelle lift up to Val Thorens.
