Orelle is a small mountain village of almost 400 inhabitants in the Maurienne valley. It is very traditional and has preserved its rural character and its traditions. Orelle is a backway into the Val Thorens ski resort but challenging runs have developed on the Orelle side of the mountain in the Cime de Carron area. It also features some excellent off-piste.

Orelle is essentially a quiet, traditional village; however, there are various off-slope activities such as a cinema, tobogganing, snowshoeing, paragliding and cross country skiing.
The "Hameaux des Eaux of Orelle" has a 200 m² Spa including indoor heated pool with multi-jets and waterfalls, sauna, jacuzzi, solarium and relaxation area.
Facilities for Children
There is an ESF ski school located in Orelle that offers children's lessons.
