Avoriaz is a truly international and family friendly resort. It is located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area which consists of 650km of ski runs in the Northern French Alps. The resort is car free, so horse drawn sleighs or snowcats transport your luggage to your accommodation (payable locally).
Other Facilities
Several bars, a nightclub and restaurants in the resort centre produce a lively après ski atmosphere and restaurant reservations in peak season are essential. There is also a fitness centre with fitness sessions, spa facilities, a body building/cardio training room, a squash court, a cinema and a bowling alley. Paragliding, hang-gliding, speed riding , snowshoe excursions, dog sleigh rides, mountain biking on snow, three massage centres, night sledging, ice skating rink, ice scuba diving, hot air balloon rides and horse sleigh rides. There are also many events organised throughout the season including musical events and sports events.
Facilities for Children
The resort boasts an excellent Children’s village for children aged 3 to 16 years, as well as a crèche that takes children from 3 months to 5 years.
