The ski areas of Vars and Risoul make up the Forêt Blanche Domain and, with their artificial snow links, this is the largest skiing area in the Southern Alps. Vars is a traditional French resort which benefits from a high altitude and claims to enjoy 300 days of sunshine a year.

Facilities for Children
Two ski schools for children: “ESF”:Ski lessons are available for children 2 years and over. “Bébés skiers” for children 2 to 4 years is located in the chalet ESF centre and the local Pierre et Vacances residence. “ENS” Eyssina new international ski school, the Snow Garden welcomes children from 4 to 8 years old.
