Eurotunnel Travel Information

Our most popular form of self drive travel, Eurotunnel offers departures up to 3 times an hour during peak periods and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The crossing is from Folkestone to Calais/Coquelles and takes just 35 minutes.

It's quick and easy to catch the Eurotunnel to France, making your ski holiday travel a lot more convenient. With the Eurotunnel it has never been easier to take a short break away.

Immensely popular over the last two seasons and continuing for 09/10, Erna Low are pleased to offer a free FlexiPlus upgrade to every client travelling with Eurotunnel. This offer is valid for car/van vehicle categories under and over 1.85m in height. It offers priority boarding onto the next available departure and allows all customers express check-in through a dedicated check-in lane. Vehicles under 1.85m in height have access to the exclusive FlexiPlus lounge facilities between the hours of 06h00 and 22h00, offering a complimentary light snack, non alcoholic beverages, newspaper and free WiFi access. 

How to book your Eurotunnel crossing
At the time of booking, or as soon as possible after please inform us of your preferred crossing dates and times, as well as your vehicle height (under or over 1.85m) and we will book you on the nearest available shuttle. Please ensure you request a high space if your car is over 1.85m high or if you have a roof box which makes your vehicle height close to 1.85m. If you require a high space we suggest you request your times as early as possible as these spaces get booked up quickly.

Our most commonly asked question: “Where is my Eurotunnel reference number?”
Once your Eurotunnel crossing is confirmed we will send you an updated confirmation invoice by email showing your Eurotunnel booking details and your personal 8 digit Eurotunnel reference number under the ‘Comments’ section of your invoice. Eurotunnel travel is ticketless, we will not send you a voucher or ticket for this travel; please make sure you take a copy of your invoice with you when you travel.

Important Information 

• Regretfully vehicles fitted with LPG or CNG tanks cannot be accepted for transport by Eurotunnel. 
• Eurotunnel kindly request that all customers respect their check-in times to ensure your reserved departure is met on both the outbound and inbound journey. Eurotunnel recommend a check-in time of at least 30 minutes before departure but no more than 2 hours before this time. To take advantage of the shopping available in both Folkestone and Calais Passenger Terminal Buildings please allow extra time for check in.

One Eurotunnel crossing with complimentary FlexiPlus upgrade is been included per apartment. This is valid for a vehicle with up to 8 passengers including driver.
