The resort of Ischgl offers some of the best skiing experiences in Austria. Nestled right in the heart of the Silvretta mountains, Ischgl forms part of the Ischgl - Samnaun - Silvretta Arena. One of the highest-rated destinations for snow sports competitions and crowd entertainment, Ischgl has an amazing ski terrain and excellent conditions that last the entire season. Types of Ischgl Ski Passes
The Ischgl - Samnaun - Silvretta Arena has up to 240 kilometres of pistes, the majority of which are well-groomed corduroy. The pistes across in this area are evenly distributed across skill levels and abilities meaning there are a great number of runs to suit everybody’s level. The ski passes are categorised into 3 different types; The Silvretta Paznaun-Samnaun pass, the VIP Samnaun-Ischgl Pass and the Snowcard Gold pass.
The Silvretta Paznaun-Samnaun is a more extensive ski pass, granting additional access into Switzerland and the pistes of the ski resorts of Kappl and See im Paznauntal, which are also accessible via a free shuttle bus. The VIP Samnaun-Ischgl Pass covers the Ischgl and Samnaun area, not including the pistes in Switzerland. The Snowcard Gold grants access to the Samnaun-Ischgl as well as the sports areas and the nearby resorts of Nauders, Fendels and the Kaunertal Glacier. With the Snowcard Gold ski pass, the additional terrain takes the granted access to 365 kilometres.

Young Children:Children under 10 years: old and accompanied by an adult may be provided with a free ski pass. Proof of age is required for the child.
Older Children and Youth:There may be discounts for children under the age of 17. Proof of age is required to redeem the discount.
Seniors:There are discounts for seniors over the age of 62. Seniors over the age of 80, may access the lifts at a young children’s discount rate.
Disabled:There may be reductions for disabled persons. Proof of disability should be presented.

How Do Ski Passes Work in Ischgl?
The ski passes are electronically credited onto a hands-free smartcard equipped with a chip for information storage. When loaded, the cards can be swiped at the lifts and card scanners to gain access. These cards can also operate totally handsfree. When kept in a front facing jacket pocket or the sleeve slide-pockets, they can easily activate the lift doors with a simple swipe.
