La Clusaz Ski Pass Overview

Located in Haute-Savoie region in France and only an hour drive away from Geneva airport is the very traditional resort of La Clusaz. The old village is full of character with some of its old buildings still dominating the very modest skyline of the village. Unlike some of the large resorts in France, La Clusaz is not purpose built as a ski resort and as is very much still an old Savoyard village. That being said, skiing is still very much part of the fabric in La Clusaz. Despite its size and modest reputation, La Clusaz has always been a well known skiing destination amongst locals and tourists alike. It receives high volumes of snowfall particularly on the upper half of its pistes, has great off-piste opportunities and is quite easy to get to from the UK. What is quite interesting about La Clusaz is its different ski areas and what they each have to offer; learn more about this and the ski passes below.

Types of La Clusaz Ski Passes

The La Clusaz-Manigod ski pass covers 125 kilometres of pistes between La Clusaz and the neighbouring Manigod ski area. There are 85 pistes here, which are serviced by 49 modern interconnecting lifts and sit at an altitude between 1100 metres to 2600 metres. With most of the pistes being mostly red and blue, the resort is generally regarded as best suited to confident beginners and daring intermediates. Advanced skiers are certainly not left out as there are a few very steep blacks; in fact, La Clusaz has one of the steepest vertical drops (1500 metres) in France. Also available at La Clusaz is the Aravis Ski Pass which actually grants access to a total of 212 kilometres of ski terrain from the neighbouring Le Grand-Bonard ski area.
