Val d'Isere counts amongst one of the largest ski resorts in Europe, spanning across the two resorts of Val d'Isere and Tignes; which are both parts of the stunningly beautiful L’Espace Killy ski area in the Tarentaise Valley of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Types Of Ski Passes In Val d'Isere

The lift passes at Val d'Isere vary based on certain details such as the age of the pass owner and what area of the L’Espace Killy they intend to cover. There are two types of Val d'Isere lift pass prices available at Val d'Isere ski resorts. The less expensive Val d'Isere Valley ski pass grants access only to the Val d'Isere Valley and the Tignes-Val d’Isere pass covers the entire L’Espace Killy area, granting access to the entire 300km across both resorts and 153 runs. If you intend to visit for at least 6 days, the full access pass is highly recommended for a truly rounded experience of the full ski area.

Val d'Isere Family ski passe

There are discounts available on the family passes which are usually exclusive to the Tignes-Val d'Isere lift pass only and can only be redeemed by a family of a minimum of 4 members. The discount charges each family member on a children's rate thereby making it cheaper. To be eligible, the family should have a maximum of 2 adults aged between 22 years and 74 years, as well as a maximum of 3 children aged between 5 years and 17 years, or students aged between 18 years and 21 years. The family ski pass can only be redeemed on a stay of no fewer than 6 days and no longer than 13 days.

Val d'Isere Group ski passes

Val d'Isere Disabled Ski passes

Disabled skiers may get up to 50% discounts for themselves and a companion. The disabled passes can be accessed for Val d'Isere Valleys and Tignes-Val d'Isere lift pass. Disabled passes are usually only available at the ski offices and a certificate of disability may be required.

Val d'Isere Single and Half day passes

Single and half-day passes are available for purchase at Val d'Isere ski resort. The Ski Passes are available from 4 hours to up to 15 days. Prices vary for children and adults.

Val d'Isere Free Ski Passes

There may be free ski passes for children under 5 years of age and adults over 75 years old. Proof of age may be required before purchase. The free ski passes are only available at the ski pass offices. The free ski pass can be purchased for a duration between 1 day to 15 days. There are also 2 ski lifts ( Village and Savonnette lifts) which are completely free for beginners on the nursery slopes. These are the Ski instructors at the resort who will provide more information for these. There is also no pass needed for the cross-country routes.

Val d'Isere Multi-day passes

Multiple days passes range between 2-15 days on Val d'Isere Ski resort for both Tignes Valley and Val d'Isere. The rates are dependent on the age channel of purchase.

Subscription based Ski Pass

Val d’lsere operates an annual subscription pass known as Ski à la Carte where you are charged based on how much you ski. There are also discounts of either 10% and 15% for adults. There are also additional promotional benefits on the subscription.

How Ski Passes Work in Val d'Isere?

The ski passes in Val d'Isere work similarly to most other resorts in Europe. The passes are electronically credited onto a smart card which is used to operate the turnstile and lift barriers. It is hands-free activated which means it can be activated remotely at the lift turnstiles without the holders needing to always present it. It can be kept in a front pocket or ski jacket sleeve pocket to make it easier to swipe through the turnstiles.

What About Pedestrian Ski Passes in Val d'Isere?
