Le Chalet des Arolles comprises one large building which houses reception, a pay per use pool table and many of the apartments. There are also several smaller chalets buildings in close proximity to the side and behind the main reception building which generally house the larger apartments. All have been built in a traditional Savoyard style with impressive views over Arc 1950, the Tarentaise valley and surrounding mountains. Le Chalet des Arolles has a great location, just below the main village of Arc 2000 (access via public pedestrian lifts in building opposite reception) and the residence offers excellent access to the slopes with a maximum walk of just 50m to the small free (and very popular at peak times) Rhodos drag lift which is directly across the road from the main reception. Most of the apartments in the main building were renovated in 2014 and are decorated in a more contemporary style and the remaining units are more traditional and have been repainted with some additional touches such as new curtains. If you have a preference, please contact us to discuss as the larger apartments are only available with the more traditional decor. Guests have access to a private indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and a fitness centre within the complex. Bread and pastry orders can be made at reception before 7pm in the evening and will be delivered to reception in the morning (payable locally). There is also a tiny independently run restaurant, the Refuge Gourmand adjoining the residence with a lovely terrace which is the perfect venue for some light après-ski refreshment on gorgeous sunny afternoons. Each apartment has WIFI and a flat screen TV. There is also a fully equipped kitchenette with ceramic hob, microwave (except the 1 bedroom apartments), dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. You can borrow baby equipment from reception (please request in advance as it is subject to availability) and there is a covered car park. Parking needs to be requested in advance and paid for locally at 85-100€. The car park has a height limit of 2m15. 1 fully vaccinated microchipped pet per apartment is welcome at 75€/dog or 40€/cat per week. Each apartment has its own ski locker. Please note that the local tourist tax, taxe de sejour is payable locally, 2,40€ per adult per night, at the end of your stay and that a damage deposit of 500€ will be payable on arrival at reception. End of stay cleaning is not included and should also be paid for locally.
