Champery is a charming, picture-postcard mountain village with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. With good transport links and sports facilities, Champery is great for intermediate skiers looking for a quiet time in a lovely setting.
The resort offers plenty of non-ski activities including a good choice of restaurants, bars and a large sports centre. There are a selection of bars and restaurants in the village. Off-slope activities include walking, snow shoeing and the sports centre in the village offering an indoor pool, new climbing wall, curling and ice skating rinks. In Champery, you can visit the farms as well as a bells factory and other exhibitions.
Facilities for children
The Swiss ski school takes children from 3-7 years and a list of day nursery services and baby sitters can be obtained from the local tourist office. New since the winter 07/08, childcare system at the Palladium for children of all ages.

Champery is linked into the expansive Portes du Soleil ski area, offering 650km of pistes in total. Champery itself is not ideal for beginners as there are no runs back to the village and the beginners’ slopes are limited and quite steep. However, intermediate to advanced skiers will find some great terrain within the Portes du Soleil area. Snowboarders will find a variety of freestyle terrain including the ‘Superpark.ch’ in nearby Les Crosets.
