Nendaz is located in the heart of the Valais region on a plateau overlooking the Rhone valley and offering a breath-taking panoramic view over the Alps. It is easily accessed by train (1hr 45mins) or car (1hr 30mins) from Geneva airport and is a great resort for all types and levels of skiers especially families. This wonderful scenery is amplified by an incredible amount of sunshine, the region is known for being the sunniest one in Switzerland. The amount of sunshine in Nendaz can be compared to the amount of sunshine on the French Riviera! In summer as in winter, Nendaz caters for active holidays, family holidays or relaxing holidays depending on each and every guest’s wish
The Mont Fort glacier excursion, Wintergof Tortin, spa and wellness centre, fitness centre, ice rink, golf, mountaineering, paragliding, 100km of walking paths, sledging, 40km of snow shoeing paths, snow tubing, sports centre, 9km cross-country skiing, squash and a weekly activities programme. There is also a wide range of restaurants, bars and two nightclubs.

The area offers excellent choice for children with a snow garden, four ski schools teaching children from the age of 3 years, a nursery (Garderie Flocon de Neige taking children from 18 months) and many local activities.

As part of the 4 Vallées domain, skiers and boarders can enjoy access to the 412km of pistes over Veysonnaz, Thyon and Verbier. The north-facing Mont Fort glacier at 3300m guarantees snow-sure slopes all winter. Beginner skiers are well catered for in Nendaz and Siviez. Untouched powder on the glacier has led to a local culture of freeriding. You will find many freeriding spots; Eteygeon, Plan-du-Fou, The Gentianes, Mont-Fort, Chassoure and Mont Gelé. These routes are not maintained and intended for experienced users and will satisfy the most demanding riders. There is also a beginners and advanced snow park, and since winter 2012-13, the new The Wood Park brings you back to the roots of freestyle.
