Facilities for children
Heavenly Children's Ski and Snowboard School clinics offer full day sessions including lift access, rental equipment, helmet, and lunch for children ages 4-13. Children's snowboard clinics are for children ages 5-13. The resort operates a winter season Day Care Facility for children ages six weeks through six years old (located only at the California Base Lodge). Please note that reservations are required.

With 4,800 acres of patrolled terrain and an average annual snowfall of 360 inches, Heavenly boasts something for all levels of skiers and riders. Beginners will enjoy the terrain on the upper mountain where the groomed cruisers offer a perfect opportunity to progress, whilst the more advanced skier should head to the double black diamond chutes of Mott Canyon or the High Roller terrain park. The resort suits intermediate skiers the most as almost half the slopes match this level and the excellent piste grooming makes for a really enjoyable experience.

Getting to Heavenly
San Francisco International Airport - 3 hr 30 m transfer time
Reno Airport - 1 hr 15 m transfer time
Transfers can be arranged from Reno Airport with South Tahoe Express, please contact us for a quotation. If travelling from San Francisco, a car rental is required.
From San Francisco, follow Interstate 80 East to Sacramento. Continue on I-80 until the junction of U.S. Highway 50 East. Follow U.S. Highway 50 East to the junction of Highway 50 and U.S. Highway 89 N. Continue on Highway 50 making a right hand turn, following the bend in the road. Drive approximately 5 miles to Ski Run Boulevard. Turn right and follow the signs to Heavenly.
From Reno, follow U.S. Highway 395 S to Carson City. Through Carson City to the junction of Highway 395 & U.S. Highway 50. Follow right-hand bend on Highway 50 up Spooner Summit. Continue on Highway 50 to the Nevada / California state line. California access is at the gondola in Heavenly Village on Highway 50 and also via Ski Run Blvd. to the California Base Lodge.
