Aravis Ski Area Ski Holidays

The Aravis ski area is located in the Haute-Savoie department of France between Lake Annecy and the majestic Mont-Blanc.

It is made up of the resorts of La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand, Manigod and St Jean de Sixt, which all combine to give the Aravis ski area just over 200 kilometres of snow-sure pistes in total. The Aravis ski area or Massif des Aravis is well known for its unspoilt ski areas, great accommodation varied skiing for all ski abilities and its excellent freestyle and off-piste opportunities.

The ski area is also quite well renowned for its dedication to freestyling, freeriding and snowboarding and attracts a crowd of professional snowsports athletes every year who come to train on its slopes. La Clusaz, the biggest and most popular of the resorts in the Massif de Aravis, is particularly regarded as a free-riders paradise and welcomes many every year. Le Grand Bornand also welcomes a large number of visitors each year as well, with the resort well known for its stunning scenery with views of the Mont Lachat de Chatillon calmly looming over it and the epic forest sprawling out to the foot of the hills.

St-Jean de Sixt and Manigod are both quieter resorts than the La Clusaz or Le Grand Bornand and are perfect for family time and romantic getaways.

The Aravis ski area is a perfect, short-stay, ski destination. Located only a short distance from Geneva international airport, the transfer doesn't take much longer than an hour, making it a very convenient option to visit.
