Mountain Information on Valloire
Immerse yourself in a diverse skiing experience at Valloire ski resort, offering an impressive range of terrains with elevations ranging from 1,430m to 2,750m. With 70% of slopes situated above 2,000m, the resort ensures consistent snow coverage. The expansive terrain comprises three mountains and five mountainsides, featuring 690 snow cannons for optimal skiing conditions. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced skier, choose from 89 slopes, including 8 black, 33 red, 31 blue, and 17 green runs. Access the slopes effortlessly with 31 mechanical lifts, 17 chairlifts, 11 ski lifts, and 1 covered conveyor. Enhance your skiing adventure with two cable cars to Le Crey du Quart and La Sétaz mountains, or opt for 6-seater and 4-seater chairlifts from Les Verneys and Le Moulin Benjamin for alternative access.
Snow Conditions Valloire
At first glance, you might think Valloire’s base altitude of 1,430m sounds a bit on the low side - but don’t be fooled. More than two-thirds of the skiing sits above 2,000m, and the slopes span a variety of aspects, including plenty of north-facing terrain that keeps snow in excellent shape well into spring.
Valloire has invested heavily in snowmaking, too, so even when Mother Nature is feeling stingy, the resort can maintain reliable coverage - particularly on the lower runs back into the village. The grooming is meticulous, and the ski area generally opens from early December to mid-April, depending on conditions.
And for those glorious bluebird days? The south-facing slopes around the Crey du Quart sector catch the sun beautifully, perfect for a leisurely lunch and a top-up of vitamin D before carving back down.

Valloire stands as an optimal choice for beginners, offering a variety of green and blue runs designed for those new to skiing. The broad and gentle green runs, including Cret de la Brive and Moulin Benjamin, make them especially suitable for novice skiers.
Valloire provides a diverse selection of intermediate runs, with blue runs facilitating progression and red runs introducing a more challenging experience. Intermediate skiers can also explore blue runs with steeper slopes and demanding terrain.
Advanced skiers will find numerous challenging black runs, such as Face Nord and Crey du Quart, known for their steep descents requiring a high level of skill and experience. Valloire also offers off-piste skiing opportunities found in um-marked areas and challenging routes, catering to experienced skiers seeking difficulty levels.

With a variety of over a dozen bars, appealing to both laid-back wine lovers and enthusiasts of lively nightclubs, there's something for every taste. Bar Centrale is a favoured spot among satisfied skiers, and Le Beau Sejour's expansive south-facing terrace is an ideal location for a drink with a view. Live music lovers can explore Le Mast'Rock or Pub l'Atelier, while those desiring to dance can choose between two nightclubs, both offering free admission and operating from 11 pm - Le Village and Le Slalom/Odyssée.
For those interested in bowling, the Mafayo bowling alley remains open until 2 am, featuring six lanes, pool tables, and even karaoke nights.
