Coronavirus Travel Update
Here at Erna Low we have been deeply saddened by the French Prime Minister’s announcement ordering the closure of all non-essential public locations from midnight Saturday 14th March 2020 in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Unfortunately, this has resulted in all the ski resorts having to close their ski areas.
As the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has now been declared a global pandemic, our thoughts are with all our clients, together with our industry colleagues who are helping repatriate guests and close down the accommodations and we are working tirelessly to offer support and advice.
We also wanted to reiterate the World Health Organisation’s advice on staying healthy, which includes regularly washing your hands thoroughly, using hand sanitisers and avoiding touching your mouth and nose.
The unprecedented situation is evolving rapidly and the advice that we are receiving is also changing pending government updates, so we would like to thank you for your patience whilst we endeavour to collect the latest information. Industry advisory institutions such as the CAA, ABTA and TTA are due to have emergency meetings with the government and we are waiting for the results of these meetings.
In the meantime, we are also talking to our accommodation partners about the possibility of transferring your holiday booking to Winter 20/21 and the good news is we have received some positive feedback. Please let us know if you would like to look at this as an option.
As soon as we have more information, we will be contacting all clients in order of their departure date. We are very aware how disappointing it is to have your holiday plans disrupted and we would like to assure you that we are working relentlessly to find the answers. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
