Erna Low is a great place to work - the company is one of the most established UK ski holiday tour operators with over 80 years' experience and has a fascinating history. Our founder and namesake was responsible for many ground-breaking innovations that helped shape the ski holiday as it is today. Our office, which sits in a lovely mews in South Kensington, is a celebration of our history and is full of ski memorabilia and vintage posters, with a fabulous ski mural on the outside of the building.

Administration Assistant

Location - South Kensington, London

Competitive salary and benefits package

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable person to join our busy administration team starting immediately. You will need to have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your own work load and enjoy multi-tasking. Fluency in English is essential and French would also be an advantage. An interest in skiing/snowboarding would also help but is not essential.

The Role

  • Actively selling to current and prospective clients
  • Load and manage prices on Central Reservation System
  • Manage and communicate special offers
  • Liaise with suppliers to develop relationships and manage the operational demands of the products
  • Responsible for copywriting product descriptions and sales material
  • Running of the ticketing department
  • Assist with the contracting of all accommodation and ski extras
  • Being the face/voice of Erna Low on the telephone and email providing and researching information to ensure that accurate information given out
  • Checking availability of accommodation, stopping, opening and amending the sales to ensure accommodation is correctly available to be booked online and by the sales team
  • Calculating the sales prices for holiday extras such as ski passes, ski school and travel

Skills and attributes

  • Experience working in an administration role within the travel industry
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Great customer-service skills
  • Good communicator – both written and verbal
  • Interest in skiing/snowboard
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • A team player
  • Working knowledge of French would be preferred but not essential
