Morzine Ski Transfers

MorzineTransfer FAQs

What type of ski transfer do I need to get to Morzine?

Morzine is located in the heart of the Portes du Soliel ski area which is part of the Haute-Savoie region in France. The Portes du Soliel is one of Europe's biggest ski regions, spreading across the countries of France and Switzerland. Due to its location high up in the French Alps, there are no direct flights to Morzine or direct train connections which take you to the Portes du Soleil ski area, however, there are a myriad of transfer options to choose from when making your way up to Morzine. At Erna Low, we have formed partnerships with some of the most well known transfer groups in the area offering some of the best commuting standards. When viewing the different types of transfer, you can opt for a private or shared transfer to Morzine. A private transfer is usually selected by skiers who wish to travel alone or exclusively within their travel group ( especially those travelling as a family and want to remain within their travel bubble). A shared transfer on the other hand works perfectly for skiers who are willing to share a vehicle ride to Morzine with other passengers arriving at the same airport and also heading to Morzine. Shared transfers are usually less expensive as the cost is divided amongst the travellers. This is a cheaper option that still offers a great deal of comfort. There are other transfer options such as coach transfers and airport transfers. Airport transfers are a high end luxury option for visitors landing at smaller or private, non-commercial airports and coach transfers are as the name suggests, transfers via coach from the airport to Morzine.
When selecting your transfer option, we will always strongly recommend that you consider your personal preferences, budget and travel size in order to ascertain the best ski transfer that you need to Flaine.

What airports can I transfer from to get to Morzine?

Morzine is located in the Portes du Soleil ski area which is one of the biggest ski areas in Europe but more importantly to the issue of transfers, it connects the two countries of France and Switzerland. With part of the ski area also connecting Lake Geneva, the proximity between Geneva airport and Morzine would be closer as you would imagine. In general, getting a Morzine airport transfer is actually quite straightforward. There are four airports from where a transfer to Morzine can be arranged from. These are Grenoble airport (formally recognised as Grenoble Alpes Isère airport), Saint-Exupéry airport in Lyon, the Chambéry Aix-les-Bains Airport, more simply referred to as Chambery airport and Geneva airport. With Geneva airport located just one hour and a half from Morzine, a transfer from Geneva to Morzine is by far the quickest both in travel time and proximity. Also due its multiple international flight connections and frequency of arrival flights, it would appear obvious that the transfer Geneva to Morzine route would appeal much more than a Grenoble or Champery transfer, if it can be helped. Nonetheless, we are still more than capable of arranging a Morzine airport transfer from any of the four above mentioned airports.

How much do you charge for transfers to and from Morzine?

The prices we charge for transfers to Morzine will vary depending on a number of factors such as the airport the transfer is from, how many people are in the travelling group as it could require more than one car, the type of transfer selected and more. For example, a Geneva to Morzine transfer may cost less than a transfer from Chambery or Lyon airport because of the close proximity of the Geneva airport to Morzine. The prices may also vary depending on whether it is a single or return transfer. Although all our different modes of transfer offer a great deal of comfort, the prices will vary based on the type of transfer opted for; the price of a private transfer will be different from the price of a shared transfer. All transfer prices can be found during the ski holiday booking, on the ski transfer page. For quotes or any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
