The ski season in the Bansko ski area typically runs from December to April, and the resort boasts one of the longest ski seasons in Europe. The resort has 75 kilometres of slopes, with the longest run stretching 12 kilometres. There are also a variety of off-piste and freeriding options for more experienced skiers.

Bansko rose to prominence as a ski destination following the installation of its primary gondola in 2003 and its selection as the venue for the FIS Ski World Cup in the same year, solidifying its status as a premier European ski resort. Skiing in Bansko

But if you're more of a reds kind of skier, you can head up to Red 2 and 4 on the Todorka or Banderitza chairlifts. These are fast runs with some great corduroy if you get there early enough.

While Bansko predominantly features beginner and intermediate runs, it also offers exhilarating advanced slopes such as the 'Alberto Tomba' black run in the main area.
