Val Cenis is made up of two traditional villages, Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard. The ski area is located almost at the end of the High Maurienne valley, with the Italian border on one side and the fabulous Vanoise National Park on the other side.
Public swimming pool, free cross country runs, ski touring, freeriding, ice climbing, snow kiting, paragliding, dog sledging, a 900m long sledging slope, snake gliss, under ice diving, ice skating, bowling, day and night time walks and snow shoe outings, cultural activities including a chapel with medieval paintings, museums bars, restaraunts, a fromagerie and two cinemas.

The ski area is good for beginners and intermediates with green and blue runs down through the trees. For more advanced skiers there are plenty of red and black runs, and skiers can take advantage of some good off-piste. Access to the varied skiing is possible from 5 bases along the valley floor. There are lots of free shuttles throughout in the day around the resort. There is also a link, via the Orelle gondola (40 minutes drive/35km away) straight to Val Thorens and the vast skiing area of the 3 Valleys.
