Boasting the steepest vertical of all ski resorts in North America, at an altitude of 5,620 feet, Revelstoke offers a varied and challenging alpine terrain, alongisde a typical old fashioned grid town with a traditional mountain community. Renowned for its perfect powder and deep snow, you can explore the spectacular slopes of Revelstoke from the luxurious Sutton Place Hotel, which is located right at the foot of the slopes. In the evenings, you can take a taxi transfer downtown to enjoy the beautiful old town with its restaurants and bars.
From Revelstoke ski resort, you can travel the vast wild backcountry terrain via cat or heli skiing - a huge untouched ski area, and from Revelstoke mountain itself, there are over 3,000 acres of fall line skiing and groomed runs.
Staying at the Sutton Place Hotel, you have a choice of amenities right at the base of the mountain and no need to walk more than a stone's throw from the accommodation which includes a ski school, ski rental shops and boutiques. For dining, try the Rockford Wok, which is a great grill restaurant offering a special wok inspired menu - or grab a coffee and bagel at the La Baguette coffee shop and bakery. Take the gondola up to Revelation Lodge which has jaw-dropping views as well as a self service restaurant and coffee bar.
At night time, take a taxi to the old town of Revelstoke and try out the Village Idiot, a ski themed restaurant full of character.
Facilities for children
Mountain Child care is open 7 days a week and offers care for children aged from 18 mths to 6 yrs. There is a choice of half or full day care and group or private lessons can be inlcuded, depending on the age of the children.
General group ski lessons are available for children aged up to 12 yrs, with weekend and holiday programmes available for children and teenagers up to 17 yrs of age.

With 3,121 acres of fall line skiing, 65 runs and 2 Alpine bowls, Revelstoke offers 'awesome' Canadian ski conditions - and all surrounded by the spectacular views of the Monashee mountains. From the base of the mountain, you can head up the Revelation Gondola where there is a choice of ski terrain to suit all abilities. With two-high speed quad chairs, and an eight-passenger gondola, there are also two dedicated beginner slopes - but for those who crave the thrills of challenging skiing, Revelstoke offers a vast terrain of dramatic slopes to explore. Simply head to the North Bowl which is unbeatably steep and thrilling.
Like Whistler, Revelstoke offers a First Tracks programme - be the first to load the lifts and take advantage of untouched power. It includes breakfast at Rockford Wok from 7 a.m., with early lift access at 7.40 a.m.

A shared shuttle transfer service can be arranged from Kelowna airport, however the area can be best enjoyed by renting a car, which Erna Low will also happily arrange for you.
