Arêches-Beaufort Ski Holidays
Arêches Beaufort is little known in the U.K. The resort will appeal to families and to those that love a more traditional village and ski resort. It is divided into 2 sectors, Arêches and Le Planay. The Beaufortain is a beautiful region and is sure to be a big hit with those that love the famous Beaufort cheese. It is approximately 25 kms from Albertville so really accessible for those wishing a shorter journey from the U.K.
There are lots of other acitivies to do in Arêches Beaufort. These include snowshoeing, hiking on foot, paragliding, cinema, entertainment, street shows, pubs, library and downhill skiing with torches.
There are also activites to do to learn more about Arêches Beauforts heritage and traditions. These include exhibitions, farm visits, guided visits of villages and Baroque Churches and Beaufortain discovery evenings.
Facilities for children
There is a local nursery called the "Galipette" in Beaufort (12 places from 3 months to 6 years of age). There is also a nursery in Arêches welcoming children from 18 months to 6 years of age together with certified care takers in the resort. The snow garden and its specially designed easy access mini ski lift is great place for young apprentice skiers from 3 to 5 years of age.
Arêches Beaufort is well set up for children and offers a public snow garden which is on the Plateau de Cuvy, accessible by the Grand Mont chairlift (open to pedestrians). Families with young children can play safely in the snow garden while enjoying being outside and admiring spectacular views of Mont Blanc.

Arêches-Beaufort offers a great variety of skiing options for everyone. It is a resort with one of the most plentiful snowfalls in the entire Alps and has over 50km of slopes to choose from. You can ski all the way back to the heart of the village and has a great mixture of beautiful forest and wide-open black, red and blue runs.

During the winter, the Arêches-Beaufort ski school consists of around 50 different ski instructors, all from the Beaufortain area. The ESF offers ski, snowboard, cross-country skiing, telemark and cross-country ski lessons for all ages from 3 years old.

Travelling by Air:
If you choose to fly to Arêches-Beaufort, the most common airport is Geneva. The transfer time is approximately 2h00 by car. Alternative airports in close proximity to Arêches-Beaufort include Chambery (1h15m), Annecy (1h30m) and Lyon St Exupéry (2h00m).
Throughout the winter season, there is a variety of options available to get from Geneva Airport to Arêches-Beaufort, including shared shuttle buses, private transfers and car hire. Travelling by Car:
Arêches-Beaufort is by far one of the most convenient resorts to travel to if you prefer self-drive ski holidays. It takes around 8h45m to drive from Calais and tolls cost around €72 each way per car, not per passenger. Remember to pack your Snowchains!

Travelling by Train:
There is an indirect service that takes passengers into Paris. From Paris, you can get the connecting TGV train to Albertville. Albertville is approximately a 30 minute transfer trip to Arêches-Beaufort and we can arrange a taxi to finish the last leg of your journey.
