Overview
Valloire is an attractive Savoyard village set in a secluded bowl above the MaurienneValley. This resort is still very much a traditional French farming community and the locals make you feel more welcome than some of the larger, more commercial resorts.

A choice of 25 restaurants and a dozen bars, a skating rink, fitness centre, typical farms, adventure park, cinema, bowling.
Facilities for children
The resort has ski schools and kindergarten for children from the age of 3 years. The day nursery ‘Les Aiglons’ accepts children from 6 months to 6 years old, with indoor and outdoor games.

Mountain info
Valloire shares its ski area with Valmeinier and the terrain is varied with 70% of the ski area above 2000m. Served by more than 400 artificial snow cannons and groomed to a high standard, the area provides a good choice of runs from wide reds to gently meandering blues, but the skiing is generally not too difficult.
For freestyle skiers and snowboarders, Valloire's snowpark is maintained by a team of four shapers and has been ranked as one of the best Snowparks in France by several magazines. There are also a couple of easier parks for younger or less confident skiers and snowboarders.
