Vail Village and Lionshead are interlinked by a regular free shuttle service, which runs until the early hours of the morning and both villages have their fair share of shops, bars, restaurants. At the top of the Lionshead Gondola, the Adventure Ridge development offers a unique night out, with everything from bars and restaurants, to children’s snowmobiling, tubing, ice skating, snow biking and even Laser Tag.
The town and ski area has completed a $1billion renaissance. This has included the opening of a number of 5 star properties, a major redevelopment in the village with an ice rink, cinema and bowling alley plus the opening of the 10th. – a full service on-mountain restaurant. This is located at the top of the new Gondola running form the Village and just steps away from the Lodge at Vail. All of this modernisation and renovation strengthens Vail’s position as one of North America’s premier ski resorts.
Facilities for children
The children’s ski & snowboard school has centres in Lionshead and Golden Peak and offers excellent programmes for children from 3-14 years. Kids that are too young to ski can go to the Small World Play School™, which offers a variety of activities for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

With over 5,000 acres of skiable terrain, Vail offers something for everyone. The front side of the mountain can be accessed from Lionshead, Vail Village, Golden Peak and Cascade Village, and offers a variety of treelined runs suitable for all abilities. More advanced skiers can drop over into the 7 mile wide back bowls, which offer a huge amount of ungroomed intermediate to advanced terrain. Blue Sky Basin provides an area of unrivalled glade skiing where you can choose your route between widely spaced trees. Golden Peak is home to a huge terrain park and superpipe.

Getting to Vail
Denver International Airport - 125 miles (2 hr 30 m transfer time)
Eagle Airport - 35 miles (45 min transfer time)
Unless otherwise specified, transfers will be included in the price of you ski holiday package. Transfers from Denver are arranged through Colorado Mountain Express, who have over 20 years of experience in mountain travel. Transfers will be by shared shuttle; however, please contact us if you would prefer the comfort and convenience of a private charter, which can be arranged at a supplement.
Take Interstate 70 west from Denver, or Interstate 70 east from Eagle, then take exit 176 towards Vail.
