Hotel Le Coucou, Méribel
Set in Méribel's preserved Belvédère area at the foot of the Rond-Point des Pistes, Hotel Le Coucou is a genuine ski-in,ski-out hotel with the Côtes lift just 100m away, slightly apart from the main centre in its own quiet corner.
There are 3 restaurants: Le Beefbar, Biancaneve and Le Fumoir and the lovely Bar des Pistes. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and fitness room. The spa is by Tata Harper and offers a range of beauty treatments and massages that you can book and pay for locally.
Designed by Pierre Yovanovitch, a traditional timber-and-stone shell hides playful, colour-rich interiors beneath a frescoed owl-motif dome. The 55 rooms and suites feature custom furniture, minibars, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and balconies with valley or slope views, while two private chalets add pools, saunas and massage rooms of their own. Three restaurants, a Tata Harper spa with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room, plus kids' clubs and a slopeside ski shop, all open onto the vast Three Valleys.
