Perfect for beginner and intermediate level skiers, Livigno offers a slightly less expensive ski holiday with excellent snow and ski conditions no different from some of the glamorous ski resorts in neighbouring Switzerland or Austria. It has excellent accommodation options, a very efficient ski lift system and a very lively apres-ski scene. Livigno offers a fantastic amount of skiable terrain, with a total of 115km of pistes and over 30 lifts that are split across its two separate ski areas. On one side of the valley is Mottolino, which is known for its world-class snowpark and steep, challenging terrain. On the other side is Carosello 3000, which offers vast, wide-open slopes and a more gentle, cruising experience. The skiing spans a wide altitude range, from the village at 1,816m up to a considerable 2,900m at the top of the mountains, ensuring consistently good snow.
