Accommodation in Arc 1800
Arc 1800
Arc 1800 is the largest and liveliest of the four Les Arcs villages, sitting at the heart of the resort with the most extensive selection of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Perched at 1,800m, it sits right at the tree line - a sweet spot that combines reliable snow conditions with beautifully forest-lined runs that give the resort a real sense of character and shelter.
The village is divided into four distinct, pedestrianised quarters: Le Charvet, Les Villards, Charmettoger, and Le Chantel. Each has its own atmosphere, meaning there's something here for every type of skier, from those who want to be steps from the après-ski action to those seeking a quieter, more scenic base.
Families and beginners are particularly well catered for, thanks to the Mille8 complex - a world-class facility featuring an aquatic centre, discovery trails, and dedicated first-time skiing zones. And as part of the vast Paradiski domain, Arc 1800 provides access to 425km of pistes, with the famous Vanoise Express cable car whisking skiers across to La Plagne in minutes.
Choosing your Arc 1800 ski accommodation
Picking the right part of the village makes a real difference to your holiday. Les Villards and Le Charvet put you right in the thick of things, with the main après-ski bars, restaurants, and central amenities on your doorstep. Charmettoger offers a quieter, forest-flanked setting for those who prefer to retreat from the bustle at the end of the day, while Le Chantel sits higher up with more modern, premium residences and elevated valley views.
Most accommodation in Arc 1800 is purpose-built with convenience in mind, so it's worth checking your distance to the Transarc gondola or the Vagère chairlift for the quickest morning access to the mountain. Large groups tend to gravitate towards the newer, more spacious residences in the upper parts of the resort, while those keeping an eye on budget will find excellent value in the original central apartments. Families, meanwhile, should look to stay near Les Villards to be within easy walking distance of Mille8's pool and beginner-friendly evening activities.
