Types of ski passes in Arc 1800

There are two main ski pass options in Arc 1800, each with a different area of coverage. The Les Arcs “Classic Pass” pass covers 200km of the local area, including all Les Arcs villages, Peisey-Vallandry and Villaroger slopes. This option suits skiers who stay within the immediate terrain, without skiing beyond its boundaries. Ideal for families and ski groups looking to enjoy a relaxed ski trip. The Les Arcs valley delivers excellent variety across diverse terrain from challenging blacks to family-friendly blues, so skiers can still enjoy a varied experience within the ski area.

Alternatively, adventurous skiers seeking broader horizons should consider the Paradiski pass. This comprehensive option encompasses 425km of interconnected pistes linking Les Arcs with neighbouring La Plagne via the iconic Vanoise Express cable car - one of Europe's most substantial lift-linked domains. It offers contrasting landscapes, from Les Arcs' signature tree-lined runs and steep couloirs to La Plagne's expansive high-altitude plateaus and glacier skiing, plus the opportunity to discover multiple distinct resort villages each offering unique character and atmosphere. Better suited to week-long stays or more extended holidays, the Paradiski pass is our recommended choice for skiers looking to explore beyond Les Arcs for greater terrain diversity.

Do ski lessons require a ski pass in Arc 1800?

In most cases, yes. If you’re taking ski lessons in Arc 1800, you'll usually need a ski pass to access the lifts used during instruction. Some resorts offer beginner-specific passes for nursery areas. However, many first-time skiers still choose a complete local pass so they can progress during the week without having to upgrade. If you’re booking with us, the Classic Pass should be just fine, unless you've ambitions of exploring the Paradiski!

Can I upgrade my Arc 1800 ski pass once I’m in the resort?

Upgrading from a Les Arcs local pass to a wider Paradiski pass may be possible at some resorts; however, upgrades often require visiting the lift pass office and paying the price difference, which can be inconvenient during busy periods. To avoid extra admin, it’s usually best to choose the right pass in advance through Erna Low based on your skiing plans.
