There are hardly any other resorts that could offer better value for money for a ski pass as you would find at Sauze d'Oulx. The resort offers access to over 400km of snow-sure pistes including all the resorts in Via Lattea and Montgenevre (for an additional fee) with a total of 63 interconnecting lifts. If skiing is your top priority, the pistes at Sauze d’Olulx are mostly north-west facing which naturally increases the likelihood of good powdery conditions on the runs.

Types of Ski Pass in Sauze d'Oulx

The Milky way pass is the standard pass given at Sauze d’Olux. You can however choose between two variations of the Milky Way pass; the Vialattea pass grants access to all the resorts on the Italian half of the border (305 km) while the Vialattea international pass which includes Montgenevre resort in France as well as the Vialattea resorts. If you’re planning more than just a short stay, the Vialattea International pass would be by far the best value for money. With Sauze d’Olux located farthest west of the Milky Way network, it is possible to ski all the way across to Montgenerve ( skiing across Sestriere, Sansicario, Claviere, Cesana Torinese) with the Vialattea international ski pass. Additional categories such as the Gold and Baby Ski passes can be added on both the Vialattea and Vialattea International ski passes. The additional pass categories can also be applied to your chosen ski pass for access to the lifts at Vialattea, Montiluna (alone) and Montiluna/Montgenevre.
Sauze d'Oulx Gold Ski Passes
The Gold Ski pass at Sauze d’Olux offers a significant discount to skiers who are born before 1945. An official proof of age will be required at purchase.
Sauze d'Oulx Child (Baby) Ski Pas
The Child/Baby discounts are applicable on young children. Ski pass must match the same date and duration as the accompanying adult’s ski pass. Proof of age required at purchase.
Sauze d'Oulx Half Day, Single & Multiple Day Ski Passes
There are Half-day, Single and Multi day passes (more than 2 days) available for purchase. Prices will vary depending on what lifts and access area is selected.
Sauze d'Oulx Beginner Ski Passes
Beginner ski passes are also available for single day purchase for the Sestriere (Carpet Lift), Sanaicario (Chair Lift) and Claviere (Chair Lift) lifts.
Where can I buy a Sauze d'Oulx lift pass?
You can purchase your Sauze d'Oulx lift pass from any of the ticket offices at the resort. There are also automated ticket stalls which operate 24 hours a day at the resort.

How Do Ski Passes Work in Sauze d'Oulx?
The ski passes in Sauze d'Oulx operate in a fairly similar manner as you would find in other ski resorts in general. The passes are electronically credited onto a plastic smart card which is then used to operate the door and or barriers at the lifts.
The cards look and function similarly to a regular payment card. They will also feature the holders first and last names They can be swiped or remotely activated when in proximity with the barriers ( To enable this, you will have to store the ski pass card in your front jacket pocket or the sleeve pocket on your winter jacket).

There are ‘non skier’ lifts at Sestriere (Garnel Chair lift), Cesana-Claviere (Rafuyel and Sagnalonga Chair Lift), Cesana to Sansicario ( Cable car) and Sauze d’Olux (Chairlift Jouvenceaux-Sportina). The pedestrian passes are administered as return trips (round trip).
