The gentle learning area at the base - complete with magic carpets and wide, confidence-building slopes - is perfect for first-timers, tentative intermediates and children finding their ski legs. The smaller scale means ski schools feel more personal too: fewer queues, less faff, and more actual skiing.

As for who you’ll learn with, École du Ski Français (ESF) leads the charge with structured group lessons, private tuition and the ever-popular Piou Piou club for little ones. Oxygène Ski & Snowboard School is well known for smaller groups and English-speaking instructors, while Prosneige offers a more boutique, tailored approach. From morning group sessions to focused afternoon clinics and private coaching, there’s a format to suit just about every level and learning style.
