Arc 1800 Ski Lessons
Arc 1800 is the largest and most central of the Les Arcs villages, and for good reason - it sits at the heart of 200km of local pistes and acts as the main gateway to the vast 425km Paradiski domain.
Whether you're travelling with young children, returning to skiing after a long break, or looking to finally crack those parallel turns, Arc 1800 has the infrastructure, the terrain, and the teaching talent to make it happen.
A big part of what makes Arc 1800 work so well for beginners and families is the Mille 8 area, reached via the Villards Gondola. This dedicated progression zone is thoughtfully laid out, with ‘ski tranquille’ areas where speed is kept low, magic carpets to take the stress out of those first uphill journeys, and a discovery forest trail that makes the whole experience genuinely enjoyable rather than daunting. It's a brilliant place to find your snow legs.
In terms of terrain, beginners are well catered for around the Front de Neige - the snow-front area at the base of Arc 1800 - where the gentler slopes and magic carpets provide a safe, confidence-building environment. Intermediates, meanwhile, can hop straight onto the Transarc gondola to reach high-altitude peaks at around 3,200m and tackle some genuinely exhilarating glacial runs.
For those wanting to progress quickly, a private lesson or small group session is often the most efficient route. The flexibility to tailor the pace, the terrain, and the focus entirely to you - or your group - makes a real difference across such varied terrain.
